The National Judging Committee meet four times a year in order to oversee all aspects of judging at both Area and National level.

NAFAS Judges are available to judge at flower arranging Shows whatever the size or location.  Judges are qualified at both Area and National level and are happy to attend work nights at flower clubs to judge and give constructive comments on matters relating to competitive work.

NAFAS Judges will also judge at agricultural Shows and Area Shows, as well as National and International events.  It is recommended that organisers of Shows invite NAFAS judges, who have undergone rigorous training in order to qualify and can make unbiased decisions before making awards.

Qualification tests for Area Judges are held regularly within the 21 Areas of NAFAS.  A test for National Judges is organised by the National Judging Committee every three years.

Training is also held for Adjudicators for Judges Tests, and Instructors, who take refresher days for Areas and instruction sessions for trainee Judges.  At times we are also asked to assist with training Overseas Judges and, of course, our Judges are happy to travel to large International Events.

Each year we are involved in the NAFAS National Show, which next year is being held at Southport Theatre & Convention Centre,  12-14 July 2012.  This is a wonderful event for competitors and public alike and all are assured of a warm welcome.

If you have any query regarding any aspect of judging please do not hesitate to contact the Committee via NAFAS Hedquarters.
