NAFAS Assembly 2012
ROYAL HOLLOWAY UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
10-13 SEPTEMBER 2012

The Surrey Area of NAFAS are looking forward to welcoming you to Surrey for the 2012 NAFAS Members Assembly held at the Royal Holloway University of London, Egham, Surrey.
The County of Surrey offers world-class attractions and is studded with many National Trust grand Houses and beautiful gardens. The venue is a superb blend of modern facilities with the splendour of the Victorian Founders Building, creating a grand backdrop for our event. The University is set in the North of the County and is adjacent to Junction 13 of the M25 and close to rail links and London Heathrow Airport.
The Assembly will take place in the modern part of the University which offers superior and spacious rooms with lifts to all floors. The entertainment and the shopping mall will be in the Windsor Suite, where you will register and be welcomed with a cup of tea and the chance to meet and catch up with friends.
Over the four days you will be able to see fabulous demonstrations by two National Demonstrators Sue Blandford and Andrew Grisewood and listen to a presentation by Tony Cleaver a National Speaker. All these events promise to be very special indeed.
Tours have been organised to take in the lovely countryside with a visit to Hampton Court Palace where you can discover 800 years of fascinating history in this majestic palace set in 60 acres of gardens, close to the River Thames, once the home of Henry V111. Included in this tour will be a special private tour of the beautiful historic gardens normally closed to the public. If you love gardens then RHS Wisley is the outing for you. The colourful borders, water features, formal and rock gardens to name but a few, will surely provide you with inspiration and ideas. Our third outing is a tour of Frogmore House set in Windsor Great Park. This Royal House, loved by several generations of the Royal Family, is a favourite of the Queen and her family. Frogmore House is rarely open to the public and we have arranged, for you, a private conducted tour of this charming residence.

We also offer you a chance to participate in a very special workshop creating paper sculptures. You can attend either in the morning or the afternoon or both sessions as different items will be produced at each workshop. We have arranged the outing to Frogmore House so that you can attend one of the workshops and also go on this very special outing.
You will be spoilt for choice!
The Gala Dinner will be a fitting way to end the day on Wednesday. A very special evening has been arranged for you by our enthusiastic Surrey Assembly Team.
We can promise you four days of great entertainment, fun and laughter in the good company of friends. We hope that you will come and join us.
