Speakers Letter

Dear NAFAS Member,

The National Speakers Course, August 2010 – Keel University

Our course is being held on Keele University Campus in Staffordshire which is the largest in Europe and spreads over hundreds of acres of woodlands, lakes and immaculate gardens.
The historic Victorian mansion in the grounds is one of Staffordshire’s finest stately homes and is today used for conferences, presentations and exclusive events. Food is prepared by several award winning Chefs and the catering is of a very high standard.
Accommodation, a leafy stroll away from the hall, is all en-suite and has recently been re-furnished to an excellent standard.
Our Course is entitled ‘Say it with Style’ and is aimed at helping the Speaker improve his/her performance on stage. Our tutors, all National Speakers are:

Anne Drake an ex ballet teacher, who will show us how to ‘Move with Emotion’.
Brenda Eyers who enthralled her audience at the National Show in our 50th Anniversary Year will ‘Wow us with Words’.
Dora Mack’s title is ‘Three by Three’ and will concentrate on the structure and balance of a talk.
National Tutors June Ford and Carol Black will collaborate on a session ‘Playing with Props’.
All sessions will include much mingling, laughter and fun.

Our popular Gala Dinner will take place on the last evening, after which we will be entertained by Trisha Lewis, from Bournemouth. Trisha is a speaker, actress and singer whose performances have received rave revues from any organisations. She is sure to give this NAFAS Speakers Course an evening to remember.

Priority bookings will be given to NAFAS NATIONAL SPEAKERS until 30 March 2010. Thereafter places will be available to AREA SPEAKERS and any NAFAS member interested in improving their speaking techniques.
