Junior Flower Clubs

Junior Flower Clubs are supported by adults to encourage young people to enjoy plant material by creating their own artistic designs.

NAFAS juniors are aged between eight and seventeen years.

Some Junior Clubs are part of an adult flower club led by experienced flower club members, whilst other Junior Clubs are linked to a school with adult NAFAS members as leaders and tutors.

Clubs meet regularly, at suitable times for childen e.g. Saturday mornings or afternoons, after school or at adult meetings.

Subscriptions may very - a typical annual subscription is £2.50-£5.00 with additional charges to cover the cost of materials.

NAFAS affiliated junior members are invited annually to compete in the Junior Gallery at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, as well as at local flower shows and flower festivals.

In 2009 all affiliated juniors have been invited by NAFAS to submit a 'butterfly' made from natural plant material to 'fly' at the NAFAS Golden Anniversary Flower Festival Rejoice in Westminster Abbey from 7-10 May.
