Events
This year the club celebrated 55 years. We currently have 140 members. At our monthly meetings members are entertained with a demonstration of floral art by a NAFAS trained demonstrator and there is also a chance to enter our monthly competitions, browse the sales table and chat over a cup of tea. Included in the programme are classes for all abilities, social get-togethers, fund-raising events for our Chairman's charity (currently The Brigitte Trust) and an annual coach outing.
Every other year, we organise a club trip to Europe.
Our more experienced club members enter competitions at other clubs as well as The Chelsea and Wisley Flower Shows. We have been incolved with the Flower Festival at Guildhall Cathedral and Florimania at Hampton Court Palace. Everyone can be sure of a friendly welcome at our meetings, whether they wish to just be entertained or want to get more involved with flower arranging.
