Salisbury Flower Club already have strong links with the local theature, Salisbury Playhouse. We create complelemtary designs for their productions and are currently designing 'trees' for their restaurant. They sponsor our flowers and we provide the floral designers. 4 May was Press Night for a new play opening at the Theatre, entitled 'Epsom Downs'. Our club offered to provide buttonholes for all the theatre-goers that night (a mere 450!) and took the opportunity to promote National Flower Arranging Day. (See photograph below of the arrangers involved).
We are a thriving club and take every possible opportunity to be a visible part of our local community. When the Olypic Torch comes to Salisbury our verson of an Olympic Torch will be part of the celebrations and we recently provided floral designs for three locations when the Queen visited Salisbury.
We also put on a lot of workshops, some open to the public to promote hands-on flower arranging by our members and to encourage more people to join our club.
