St Catherine's Flower Arrangement Club

The Club (now in it's 46th year) meets in Shalford Village Hall which is 2 miles from Guildford with a large car park, off the A248 (the road towards Cranleigh, Wonersh and Shamley Green) signposted to The Village Hall.  

There is an interesting and varied programme throught 9 months of the year with National or Area demonstrators.  During the year classes and a workshop are organised for the participation of members of all standards.  The Annual General Meeting is held in February with a speaker to follow and a coffee morning is usually held in December.  There is no meeting in August.

Members can take part in monthly competitions which provide a high standard of flower design in arrangements, as well as participating in Inter-Society competitions throughout the area.  The Club is also involved in arranging flowers at Guildford Catheral.  When possible the Club will contribute to a chosen charity.

There is a Committee of 8 members who set up the monthly Sales Table, Trading (Publications) table with copies of 'The Flower Arranger', and a plant stall. Tea and biscuits follow the demonstration.  Together with other helpers from the membership St Catherine's has a well earned reputation for providing an enjoyable afternoon of interest and entertainment for members.  Guests are always welcome, except at the AGM.
