At the end of the 60's with the number of Flower Clubs increasing it was felt that the time had come for Cheshire to become the 20th Area of NAFAS.  This was approved by the National Association and under the leadership of Jean Taylor and others the Area was formed.  As with all things new there was great enthusiasm but we had to get ourselves in a good financial position.  An Area Luncheon, a very successful festival at Gawsworth Hall and an Area Show set us on the way.

There are now 51 Clubs in Cheshire.  Many festivals have displayed our talents and numerous charities have benefited.  Members have worked nationally and our excellent Area Chairmen, Officers and members have, over the years, dedicated their time to keeping Cheshire to the forefront of the Flower Arrangement movement.

Congratulations to the team from the Cheshire Area, led by Pam Fleming-Williams, who staged an exhibit at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show in July and received a well-deserved Gold Medal and Best Exhibit.
