The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies is organising a competition within its 30,000 strong membership, to find new talent.
The Association is made up of 21 regional Areas within the UK and each Area has been invited to hold its own elimination competition, with the winner competing at the Malvern Autumn Show in September 2024.
The objective of the competition is to find new talent within the membership, with the overall winner at Malvern having the opportunity to represent NAFAS at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2025, with NAFAS covering all expenses.
The competition is only open for NAFAS members who have not competed at the Chelsea Flower Show before, either as an individual or as part of a team.
The competition at Malvern will be titled “RAZZAMATAZZ”.
- It will be judged in accordance with RHS Floristry rules
- This is a foam free exhibit no plastic based floral foam or Bio foam are permitted, however Agra Wool will be allowed.
- An exhibit to be staged by one person.
- Space allowed- 100cms wide x 100cms deep. Height optional.
- Exhibit to be staged from the floor, against a plain background. (Competitors to supply their own base if required)
- To be viewed and judged from the front.
The winner of the competition must create a UNIQUE design for the Chelsea Flower Show 2025. It cannot be the same design as used in the NAFAS heats or seen at any previous shows or competitions.
This is an exciting collaboration between The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies, Three Counties Agricultural Society, and The Royal Horticultural Society.
