North Midlands Area

The North Midlands Area of NAFAS were delighted to be asked to create a bouquet to be presented to HRH The Princess Royal on the occasion of her visit to the 140th Lincolnshire Show this week. The bouquet included a tag detailing National Flower Arranging Day.

This marks the start of launch activities in the Area for their special floral day.

Pictured on the left holding the bouquet is Di Smith, Area Treasurer who created it using garden flowers and foliage. Also pictured are Lincolnshire Show Floral Art organisers – Lynn Bottamley, Mandy Cooke and Jan Palmer along with Area Chairman, Andrew Key.

Andrew is organising two days of flower arranging demonstrations at the Show, culminating in the official North Midlands launch of National Flower Arranging Day with a ‘Ready Steady Flower Arrange’ event featuring Charlotte Powell the CEO of Lincolnshire Agricultural Society along with television personality Matt Baker MBE.
