Welcome to the Sussex Area of NAFAS. We have over 40 clubs across East and West Sussex where you’ll find a warm welcome to monthly flower-arranging demonstrations, talks, workshops, competitions and floral events.
We even have our own dedicated charity: The Sussex Kidney Trust was set up in 1968 and over £1M has been raised to purchase equipment for the renal units in Bexhill, Brighton and Worthing.
In our 60-odd years of existence, we’ve had three members who became National Chairman and one who went on to serve as National President, and four National Associates of Honour. We’ve hosted the National Show and twice hosted the National Assembly and, when invited, we regularly provide flower arrangers at Westminster Abbey.
We are proud of our talented members who compete and excel at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, our Nationals and other competitions. One of them, Linda Porrett, even represented the UK at the world show in India in 2020.
Yet we all started somewhere: if you’d like to find a new hobby, just watch others design with flowers or polish your flower-arranging skills, visit a flower club near you for Fun, Friendship and Flowers.
