The Mercia and North Wales Area of NAFAS (Charity Number 518603) was first formed in 1961 and now has Charitable Status. The Charity Trustees and Volunteers who serve on the various Area Committees are all members of Flower Clubs affiliated to the NAFAS Area. The area is centred on Shropshire but includes everywhere between the shores of mid and north wales starting somewhere south of Aberystwyth, across as far as the western edges of the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Cheshire. The Clubs, Demonstrators and Speakers are all governed by the NAFAS Code of Practice.
The NAFAS Charity’s main objective is that of Education, but as NAFAS is a non-profit making charity we arrange a variety of events in order to raise funds to support the competitively priced courses and workshops that are our “reason for being”. In the process the team spirit prevails and we all have lots of fun, whilst enjoying the beautiful and wonderful “World of Flowers”
If you enjoy gardening, flower arranging, or anything creative, why not visit a local Club and see what they have to offer? You’ve got nothing to lose; it’s all very reasonably priced and it may open new horizons for you. Click on the link above to find a Club near to you or contact us to find out more.
