Christian Aid 80 Service

Jilly Griffin, NAFAS Westminster Abbey Joint Co-Ordinator has provided the following report following the Christian Aid 80 Service.

“NAFAS staged flowers on 11th June 2025 at Westminster Abbey for the 80th anniversary of Christian Aid the next day.  Christian Aid was established after the Second World War and exists to create a world where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty.

Two pedestals were requested, one either side of the High Altar.  Jackie Page, Area Chairman of Berks, Bucks & Oxon was chauffeur, gofer and all round helper to the two chosen members from the Area: Joanne Hill and Catherine Penny who created such beautiful designs.

Flowers were chosen to reflect the colours of Christian Aid:

  • Dark Red Chrysanthemum
  • Dark Red Antirrhinum
  • Red Roses
  • Red Gerbera
  • White Delphinium
  • White Eustoma”
