Easter Services 2026 at Westminster Abbey

Easter is a very special time in the Christian calendar. NAFAS Westminster Abbey Co-Ordinators Linda O’Sullivan and Jilly Griffin designed a “Garden of Gethsemane” arrangement in the Nave for Maundy Thursday using Lilies, white Chrysanthemum, Lisianthus, white roses, rosemary, phoenix palm, Fatsia japonica, Aspidistra, Eucalyptus, and Danae racemosa.

Similar flowers were used in the large pedestals for the Easter services, plus yellow Chrysanthemum, yellow roses, yellow Eremurus and Solidago.

On Saturday, the North Midlands Area of NAFAS sent a team of six members (5 arrangers and a helper). An early start for them but they were all cheerful and represented their Area with aplomb.

As we were getting ready in St Michael’s Chapel, we were honoured to receive a surprise visit by the Dean, Dr David Hoyle, who expressed his thanks to NAFAS for all we do.
