Ros Anwyl elected to the NAFAS Board of Trustees

NAFAS is delighted to announce that Ros Anwyl, outgoing Chairman of the Flower Clubs of Mercia and North Wales, has been elected to the NAFAS Board of Trustees.

Ros was elected on 29 September and will officially take up her new role following the NAFAS AGM in October.

Ros brings a wealth of leadership and management experience from across the public, private and voluntary sectors. Her career has included nine years in the Women’s Royal Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller and 20 years with West Mercia Police, where she worked as both a controller and manager within the emergency control room.

Alongside her professional experience, Ros has made a significant contribution to NAFAS and the wider floral community. She trained as a NAFAS Area Demonstrator and has held a number of voluntary roles, including Vice Chair and, since November 2024, Chair of the Flower Clubs of Mercia and North Wales.

Speaking about her election to the Board, Ros said:

“I am excited and apprehensive in equal measure after being elected to the Board of Trustees. I promise to keep our members at the forefront of my deliberations and decisions, whilst ensuring that NAFAS continues to deliver the Renewal Programme.”

Welcoming Ros to the Board, Nicky, National Chairman, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Ros to the Board. I have no doubt that her experience, enthusiasm and knowledge will be a real asset to NAFAS, and I am very much looking forward to working with her in her new role.” – Ros

We warmly congratulate Ros on her election to the NAFAS Board of Trustees and look forward to working with her in her new role.
